new lyrics

Check yes Juliet
are you with me
rain is falling down on the sidewalk
I won't go until you come outside
check yes Juliet
kill the limbo
I'll keep tossing rocks at your window
there's no turning back for us tonight

lace up your shoes
A O A O ah
here's how we do

run baby run
don't ever look back
they'll tear us apart
if you give them the chance
don't sell your heart
don't say we're not meant to be
run baby run
forever will be
you and me

check yes Juliet
I'll be waiting
wishing, wanting
yours for the taking
just sneak out
and don't tell a soul goodbye
check yes Juliet
here's the countdown
3...2...1... now fall in my arms
now they can change the locks
don't let them change your mind

lace up your shoes
A O A O ah
here's how we do

run baby run
don't ever look back
they'll tear us apart
if you give them the chance
don't sell your heart
don't say we're not meant to be
run baby run
forever will be
you and me

we're flying through the night
we're flying through the night
way up high,
the view from here is getting better with
you by my side

run baby run
don't ever look back
they'll tear us apart
if you give them the chance
don't sell your heart
don't say we're not meant to be
run baby run
forever will be...

run baby run
don't ever look back
they'll tear us apart
if you give them the chance
don't sell your heart
don't say we're not meant to be
run baby run
forever will be
you and me
You and me
You and me

Song in My Head

Oh I don't believe it,
That I could be so deceiving
And bringing you down to feel this lack of loyalty.

You were a song in my head,
The warmth of the sheets in my bed.
A story forever told, but never old,
A warm arrival never left so cold.

Don't blink, don't close your eyes,
But most of all don't apologize.
It's me who's got the demons to wrestle now.

Oh I don't believe it,
That I could be so deceiving
And bringing you down to feel this lack of loyalty.

'Cause you were a song in my head,
The warmth of the sheets in my bed.
A story forever told, but never old,
A warm arrival never left so cold.

Don't blink, don't close your eyes,
But most of all don't apologize.
It's me who's got the demons to wrestle now.

There's a patch of blue in the stormy sky,
A memory of a brighter time.
When everything was new, and less watered down,
Before the summer turned to brown.

Don't say you can't believe it now,
That you're almost settled down,
'Cause you'll be right here,
When I come back around.

Don't blink, don't close your eyes,
But most of all don't apologize.
It's me who's got the demons to wrestle now.

There's a patch of blue in the stormy sky,
A memory of a brighter time,
When everything was new, and less watered down,
Before the summer turned to brown.

Before the summer turned to brown
(don't blink, don't close your eyes)
Before the summer turned to brown
(don't blink, don't close your eyes)
Before the summer turned to brown
(don't blink, don't close your eyes)

my philosophy

You look away, you're speaking with your back turned.
Summer's gone and it left me with a sunburn
Whatever happened to our afternoons?
Just assumed that you lost me like a left turn
I spent my childhood lookin at the stage
Waiting for the day it would be me and I could say
"Slow down…"
That's my philosophy

I get by
Making the best of what was mine
If you think this could be what you want
Then you just gotta try
You won't mind
Playing a victim of the time
'Cuz I swear it's getting better yeah
That's my philosophy

It could be over in a moment
The curtain falls before you know it
Looking forward towards the next scene
Remember back when we were young and still above?
We're falling in and out of love and then again before the bell rings
If you take a trip through my mind
Who knows just what you'll find
Stop dead in your tracks from her eyes
Then put it all together
That's my philosophy

Remember the look upon her face
Remember the way she loved the chase
If we ever go back there someday
I'd never, ever, let her get away

It's drinking away the summer days
A moment in time we can't replace
I won't let my life go to waste
That's my philosophy

Self Portraits

For this project we were assigned to create 3 individual self portraits.

For my first piece, I wanted to create something that was very simple, but at the same time have a very clean and aesthetically pleasing look to it.
Haha, I really enjoyed working on this one. I never really work with a lot of color, I normally stick to the earth-tonish genre, but here I clearly went all out in using color to its fullest.

With the final portion of the project I wanted to do something a little different, something that I haven't done yet. I aimed to create images that have almost a "playful" aspect to them, which is why I chose to create those "bouncing cubes" that are composed of images of myself, and of friends...I further enhanced the 3-dimensional photos with more geometric shapes, and a very "digital" theme.

Overall I am very proud of the project, and I am satisfied with the amount of work, creativity, and the finished look of the project as a whole.

here is our next project from Ai...we had to make a warning sign of some kind that would apply to ourselves....
Here is a pictogram I created that illustrates what profession I would have pursued if I didn't major in Graphic Design......if I didn't major in art, I would have majored in Chemistry

Louise Bourgeois was born in Paris in 1911. She attended various art schools such as the College de Sorbonne (presently known as University of Paris). She moved from Paris in 1938 to New York City, where she lives now. Earlier in her career she wasn't very successful, she only had a few shows in the mid to late 1940's and from then on remained quite stagnant until the 1970's when both her husband and father past away.
From then on her work took on a very "dark" tone; her works were forged from her feelings of seclusion, anger, and most of all fear. The loss of her father and husband sparked her creativity and inspired her to create some of her sculptures that she is now famous for today. Her most famous series, known as the Mamans, are massive, dark, and scrawny spiders standing as high as 35 feet tall.
She also created her own style that she named "cumuls" which were very organic and round objects...
From this point out Bourgeois' career remained very steady, and very successful. Her sculpture s are on display in museums internationally.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Digital Art has many different characteristics that can be used to describe it. So, unlike traditional art, two completely different pieces made of completely different materials can all fall under the same classification. One of these forms of digital arts is the installation. Installations in digital art can range from creating an environment that the viewer can interact with or be a part of. One such example would be Jeffrey Shaw’s The Legible City. In The Legible City Shaw created a city completely structured out of large three-dimensional words and sentences that the view navigates through while peddling on a stationary bike. The viewer that is riding the bike is able to control how fast they navigate through the virtual city by how quickly they peddle. In this way, Shaw combined the physical world with the digital world by giving the viewer the ability to control where and how fast they go through this city that is projected onto the wall in front of them. This is known as relationship architecture.
Another completely different form of digital installations uses light as the primary element to create an environment. Erwin Redl would take LED lights, normally as vast curtains, and have them spread throughout the room, covering walls and doorways. The LEDs would sometimes slowly change colors as well. Unlike Shaw, who brought the physical world to the virtual realm, Redl is bringing the virtual realm to the physical world by using the LEDs to create a giant bit-map on the walls of the exhibit.
